Taiwan 6D5N Day 4: Jiufen 九份 Chui Chunt Dint Inn

Jiufen 九份 is one of my favourite place in Taiwan. It has an alluring aura that just draws me back every time. And this time, I decided to stay one night to enjoy one full day in one of my favourite places. We booked Chui Chunt Dint Inn for I fell in love with their room view!

It is a little pricey as we choose the VIP suite with the sea view, but so worth it! The room comes with a cosy king size bed, a tatami bed at the other corner of the room (which was perfect for my two kiddos to sleep in), bathtub (the only place with bathtub for this trip) and an awesome view! The location is also great, for it is right in Jiufen along the shophouses. We just need to step out and there we are, surrounded by all the yummy food and busy shops.

The only problem I had with staying in Jiufen was having to lug our luggages along. Hence we decided to deposit our luggage using Lala locker services. It has various deposit points where you can choose to deposit your belongings. They charge by how long and how many pieces of luggages you deposit. We choose one that is near Taipei Train Station, as it will be the one point we will pass by again, and only bring along what we need for 1-2 days. It was the best decision ever, for I can’t imagine having to push our luggage and stroller through the throngs of crowds and up/down the stairs and slope (our room is at the top floor, and there is no lift in the building…).

Then it’s time. Time to join the crowds downstairs for the yummy foods!

Most shops were starting to close as the skies got dark. So if you were to stay here, do go for early dinner. We choose one of the few remaining restaurants, and I have to say, I wasn’t wow by the food. And I was so busy with my active munchkins, I didn’t even have time to take any photos. haha.

This is the first time I get to see Jiufen in night time. And it was nice, when the crowds go off, we actually get to stroll peacefully along the streets, enjoying the quietness. Aww, I missed it already.
